KIPP has focused on Newark as a key area for the growth of new schools. As we grow, we continue to rely on the generous support of individuals, foundations, and corporations who share our vision. And though each school is sustainable within the first four years, significant start-up costs makes your support a key part of the expansion process. Here are some ways you can make a difference in the lives of our kids:

• $250 provides one year’s worth of school supplies for a student
• $500 sponsors safe transportation to and from school
• $1,000 provides a brand new laptop
• $2,500 provides scholarship support for a team alumnus at a private school
• $5,000 provides a sponsorship of a student for one school year
• $10,000 sponsors above and beyond teacher time for one year
• $25,000 provides a laptop computer lab
• $50,000 sponsors a teacher’s salary

Recent volunteer activities have included helping to organize school libraries, cleaning nearby Weequahic Park with students, or planning our annual Be the Change Gala. Though we cannot accept all volunteer offers, we appreciate and rely on our friends for many of the services we offer our students.
